I've noticed a few times since the last update that when I bomb jump as an assault if i charge after i turn my jetpack on it instantly drains my jetpack to empty? Is this intended or a glitch? This is fairly annoying as the crazy mobility is why i like the class. I never noticed it before the title update.

Intended. Crazy mobility also let the class get to locations they shouldn't.

Using the jet pack outside of the intended play area will drain it more quickly.

So instead of stopping me from getting to place I don't belong, it just drains the jump pack?

The way Unreal's physics work it is nearly impossible to stop players with high mobility from getting to places we don't want them by blocking them with out causing other issues.

In normal gameplay your jetpack will be drained if you try to use it near the apex of a bomb jump, or using charge to exploit the flying physics.

I don't glitch like that, I've seen youtubes of people doing this. My question is, could you create a small lip that makes it even harder to get up where you shouldn't be?

when the update came out, i tested if it was THE update, and this is one of the things i tested. if you try to fly up the spawn area, it saps a level 3 fly away in about a half second. no chance of getting up there.

Thanks for the prompt response. I was thinking it might have to do with exploiters but it is kind of a bummer because I never use it to land anywhere unusual, just to get from one side of the map to the other. Maybe the ceiling on lazer razor is a tad low. ;)
