It can't be just me seeing this, I'm a gunner and the assault's machine gun is doing more damage quicker than my dual miniguns. What is going on?? It was just one person either so doubt they had the same extras
dual minigun does half the damage of the single i believe since the RoF doubles, or something like that and the assaults rifle doesn't do much if your past a certain range, at close range it will tear you apart, whats your build though? Edit: not half its 66% for dual mini's
Actually it looks like only the starting firerate doubles, the final RoF is still 650 over the initial
Dunno From the Denkirson stats Dual RoF: 1200-1850 Solo RoF: 600-1250 Hmm. Seems that Single does 2125 DPS while Dual does 2096.67 DPS I dunno, there's a lot of stats involved and I don't know what other effects you get when you upgrade to Dual
They could just increase the RoF without doubling it while keeping the same damage, that way it isn't OP.
There should not have been any changes to the Gunner's minigun or Assault's rifle in the latest patch.
Dual minis do allow noob friendly kills, I can say that the Gunner class is fairly limited overall. An Assassin can (barely) kill one with a back grapple, and they're slow to boot.
Dual Minis should double the rate of fire, and drop the damage by 60-80% only. Therefore, you do get 30% more damage. The only thing to keep in mind, is that dual makes more damage land on the target. Better at a range and with accuracy. If you are run-and-gunning and hitting everything ambush-style close-range, perhaps single-mini is better since less bullets do more damage and all of them hit at that range.
On a strictly mathematical basis, dual minis should always be better. More bullets are going to hit because more bullets are getting pumped out. At any range, even with the per-bullet reduction it should be better. HOWEVER, I have noticed that the higher my RoF, the less damage I seem to be doing. I heard there were some bugs related to high RoF lag compensation on the 360, but I was under the impression they were fixed for the PC. Are they only fixed for better PC's? Every time I run gold RoF on my sin it seems I'm doing less that half damage compared to my normal gold crit build. I ran the numbers for both builds and RoF SHOULD be doing more damage, but for some reason it isn't. Perhaps this is the problem you are having with the minigun. It would also explain why I have been having trouble with the gunner all around. http://denkirson.xanga.com/738334142/mo ... ht-combat/ Hard numbers so people stop estimating.
I like the part where you didn't read that I don't completely understand the situation. I am trying to better understand the game, and you are offering zero help in that regard. I am saying that there appears to be some problems with high RoF on my end and that other people may be having the same issue. I have no idea what could cause this. If you have any idea, offer something constructive and don't insult people for being uninformed. I remember hearing people say there was a problem with the assault gold RoF on the 360. I remember it having something to do with lag. I looked for the specific reference but could not find it as the forums are fairly sizable and I wanted to post something today. Everyone tells you that you behave like an elitist **** and completely disregards every word you say on the basis that you are an gigantic *****. All you do is bash people who make one mistake in their references or disagree with you in the slightest. Even the VERY few posts I have seen you make constructive input, you still come off as a pompous self-inflated dickwad. You claim to be willing to help noobs/uniformed people but all you do is bash them, which doesn't help IN THE SLIGHTEST. I understand my post will have absolutely no effect on your future disposition and I apologize to everyone else for the wall of useless text.
And me pointing out that this game doesn't have lag compensation is not helpful? It implies that you need to look in another place for the source of problems. Framerates exceeding a certain threshold induce input lag. Holding down Mouse1 in-between clips of the shuriken launcher reduce the number of shots coming out, this is an indication where you need to look at. Let it be said that the RoF of weapons hasn't been affected this update, as stated. Now if you'd stop reading every single of my posts through hate-glasses you'd see that I make points, I don't sugarcoat them though since this isn't the first time people talk about this subject and using the search should be a given, no need to discuss this here though. Don't hold M1 during shuriken rushes, Fire each clip individually for a greater effect.
Thank you, that was very helpful. And I generally try not to look at posts through hate-filled glasses. I very much dislike exploding at people and I usually try to look at everybody in the best possible light. Your attitude just bugs me sometimes. I don't like it when people look down on others, and you have to admit your tone usually implies an air of superiority. This was a bit of an overstatement. I have seen you give valuable input before. In each and every one of those cases it was both well-informed and very helpful. The usefulness is just buried beneath what many people perceive as an ego the size of the moon, and many people have trouble seeing it through the resulting eclipse. I am sorry if I came off as rude.
