Assassins Shurikens & Sniper

    This is just my opinion but sin shurikens need a drop off or a bounce limit as, if they angle it right, they can basically hit you from almost any spot and being a fat bastard like a tank or gunner that is not very mobile means you can be constantly taking damage. Also the sniper rifle needs to be a bullet and not the stupid scan weapon as that makes it extremely broken as I have been shot after I've turned a corner.

    So, if you have such an issue with shurikans, why are you standing still?

    Sniper is fine as is.

    Shurikens work as grenades do iirc.
    They disappear 2 seconds after they bounce (or leave the map area)

    Grenades last 1 second. Shurikens last 1.5seconds.

    However shurikens fly significantly faster and more accuractely than the grenade launcher. Have a MUCH higher dps(around 3.5x the dps of the grenade launcher.) and aren't affected by gravity.

    That being said, I think that the shuriken launcher only needs damage drop off against structures and the moneyball. It is fine against pros.

    It has a 0.16 modifier against turrets iirc. It doesn't take turrets down very fast (Support can just about heal 2 assassins shuriken'ing the same turret)

    And... it has a really shitty modifier against moneyball, assassin is maybe 3rd on moneyball dps.

    Its dmg vs the moneyball is multiplied by 0.164 which gives her actually fairly good dps. 3rd best means there is 3 classes worse.

    Her damage vs turrets is unmodified by multipliers. So she does very good dps vs turrets using her shurikens.

    Actually the shurikens are 4th vs the MB, Support shotty is 3rd

    Shurikans against turrets are only for the Juice. I have never used them, nor ever seen them used to kill a turret.

    I remember when the game was in Beta a lot of Assassins were saying that's the best way to take down base turrets and saying the Support would get tired healing it. All I thought was "Yeah until he gains full juice." :lol:

    Right, do you expect her to be the WORST at moneyball/structure dps?

    You realize she's the worst pro-killer against a competent team, right?

    Looking at some of the data, assuming no RoF endorsements and no assistance/juice, the Support will eventually lose out to the Shurikens if every single one were to hit
    It'd take about 25 seconds tho

    It looks like if you want to take down a turret fast with the Assassin, make sure it'd already shooting on something durable then start slashing away with the sword(600dps vsTurrets)

    Except for support. Also with her ability to build juice as fast as anyone except sniper she is actually fairly good a pro killing. The catch is that lunge-grapple is only good for 1v1 or 1v2 (if you plan to escape right after). As an assassin I juice probably 4-5 more times per game than I do as assault. And about 2-3 more times than I do as tank (this is individual juice counts, not a multiplier.)

    I usually only build up enough juice for 3 juices, and buy 1 or 2 as assault. As assassin I can easily get 8juices just from killing bots.

    O yeah, for sure the sword is SIGNIFICANTLY better than the shurikens for turret killing. However the shurikens are better than the grenade launcher or railgun or sniper rifle or smg or AR or hurt/heal gun, or shotgun. I'm not certain, but I believe it is even more effective than the minigun. But I know it is the 2nd best long range weapon for killing turrets.

    If I remember right, the Minigun(dual or not) is horrible against turrets

    Dunno about the rest as I can't get the stats page to load

    I do it all the time. Beats running in, smoke bombing, and getting chased off by someone when they come out of their spawn/shotgunned by a support/shot by other turrets. The juice is nice, too.

    But once the sin gets cloak 3 they can kill a firebase in about 4-5 shruiken volleys with critkins. The support stands no chance. :cry:

    i can vouch for that; it's a totally different case when there's 2 supports though

    I'm just getting tired of seeing Sins, especially now that more people have a clue about how to use it
    About every other game I'm dodging lunges left and right and even if I can stay out of their grapples they lunge or smokebomb away before I can do enough damage

    Throw in damage reduction during grapples/smoke along with the "steel pillar" effect of the smoke animation there isn't much glass to the "glass cannon" class
