Is this intended or a bug?

Because if this is intended, I'd probably just stick with the kunai and shuriken grapple people.

Intended I believe, seeing as how you can't lunge into the S-Launcher grapple, and would have to walk/run into someones face. You also can't lunge away, and can't clear bots (nearly as well) while doing this.

Yes, but I didn't think slapping people in the face hurts more than being slice by the sword.

Perhaps the sword does more physical damage, but the slaps hurts their pride more.

The Tank survives a sword to the face. Realism isn't this game's strong point.

I never lunge so I may consider this.. also since I love abusing the S-launcher.

I've heard Uber claim that it does the same damage as the dagger. Thank you for providing proof that this is false.

Yes, my understanding was that the shuriken grapple should equal to the melee grapple, but this video I posted shows that it is false.

I hope everyone will now avoid shuriken slapping assassins and have this fix in the future updates.

I love Shurigrappling now. Though, hit detection seems to be off for me. I think I'm the only one experiencing that.

Maybe I just have to get super duper close or something.

At least with the Monday Night Combat live update system they can change the numbers for grapple damage.

its pretty much an automatic kill against assassins which is kinda weird. although it is kinda nice to be able to grapple then switch to shurikens and grapple again for around the damage of a back grapple

You must be the only one because I've noticed the grapple having priority over EVERYTHING after the update. I'm flying...grappled. Tank dash? grappled

Having steamy relations? Grappled.

it should do more damage, because it's much harder to pull off.

I think the shuri-grapples are hilarious... And uber strong now, but all well. It IS harder to pull off since you can't lunge at someone. At the moment I just like going uncloaked behind low armored pros (coughsniperscough) and smacking them around a bit. The damage seems less to me on Tanks and Gunners though :/ But maybe that's just me?

I can't seem to reproduce the strength of this grapple. Can someone verify it for me?
