I think it'd be a really good idea to throw at least some armour on each of the default classes to counter oneshot face grapples from the assassin. It'd be a step in the right direction for making the game a little less daunting for new player at launch, IMO.
The assassin needs it, but the others are fine In addition to making the game less brutal for new players, it will help relieve the feeling of "GET THESE USELESS ASSASSINS OFF MY TEAM"
How about: Speed Armor Crit for the assassin. It's not the best (It's missing RoF, also essential to Assassin), but won't make you lolfail, and is a fairly viable choice. No other class needs it.
I've just been playing the game with a few friends who just picked it up recently, and probably the number one nerdrage comment I hear relates to being oneshot by assassin grapples. Armour on the default classes would at least cut down on the amount of oneshot deaths to bad assassins and drastically reduce the new player rage quotient.
I don't get the point of custom classes anymore. Why can't we just automatically have 'em?? In COD it was reasonable to have custom loadouts, etc,etc... not getting more in detail about that, however, this game doesn't really support us using default loadouts. If you ask me, any new player going against any player with a custom class would lose. Those default classes are BAD.
I really doubt this stuff is gonna get changed. It's an incentive to unlock your custom classes. And the reason we don't just get them all right away is a carrot on a stick to get us to keep playing by rewarding us with something. Yea, it would be nice to just have everything unlocked right away, but games these days all have some sense of character progression so it's something to just get used to.
I wouldn't say to put the most popular builds in any of the defaults But assassin NEEDS armor to be anything more than a joke Maybe the real solution would be to increase base healths and reduce the effectiveness of (and need for) armor endorsements.
It's not a good answer but they can play the default tank class until they unlock their first custom.
The thing is, most new players probably don't even realize what custom classes and endorsements mean until they unlock one.
