I'm playing with nukes in a sandbox (ai resource gain at 0) to try out a bunch of features I hadn't know about, and found that I can drag a circle for attacking with nukes. But the nukes dont seem to actually launch. I've tried over an empty area, the enemy commander (inter planetary) and on my own buildings. Is it actually possible to area nuke and am I just doing something wrong due to not having an actual building opponent?
If you want to carpet bomb, you will have to target the nukes manually with very specific co-ordinates. Attack area applies only to units. Nukes will not launch until they have an specific target
On the PTE (I think!) Nukes have an area attack. It plops down several circles around the planet which indicate the impact points, similar to area building anchors. Not sure if that's in stable, though.
Now you're just teasing me! Any idea when the PTE's set of patches will come to live? I'm keen to inform some friends by example
Nothing really. I'll probably wind up jumping on to it at some stage, but then I may get confused between live things and PTE things when I play with friends (2 or 3 of whom dont really like it annoyingly :\)
