Are there going to be different versions for different OS?

I'm wondering if each OS will require a different version or if it will be one version able to run on all three OSs? I ask because I currently have a mac, but I think I may switch over on my next computer, so if I have to choose which version of PA I want I'll have a dilemma.

I'm assuming you're talking about purchasing different versions for different operating systems. That's an important question.

If you're talking about using the same executable to play across different operating systems then you're way out of luck.

I'm fairly certain that if you buy a copy of the game, it will come with executables for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Since the game is cross platform from the start, it should be functionally identical across OSs.

Yea, but Uber's approach to PA is quite groundbreaking, it's more than just a difference of big studio/small studio, I think we're seeng a major shift in business practice

Looking around the games industry, it's poised at a point of jumping into radical openness. You're already sharing more than most ever would. Peter Molineux with Project Godus is going even further with the openness (possibly to his folly) by developing their prototype onine and publicly. Valve operates with no internal hierarchy and is the most profitable company per employee in the industry. All this experimentation in the games industry has my brain buzzing about possibilities of radical openness like this being applied to other industries, like product design and manufacturing or food production.

Just to triple-check, different OS versions can play together can't they? Windows users playing with Mac users for example.
