Does anyone know if there are any metal maker mods which convert energy into metal without requiring a mine? I really loved the metal makers in Total Annihilation and this is the only thing that I find lacking in Planetary Annihilation. I only play AI games and enjoy just hunkering down building a base and economy as fast as I can in a dense place and letting the AI legions just melt as they come up against defenses. It would sure be nice to be able to use metal makers to do this. Has anyone built a metal maker mod yet?
Not possible, AFAIK. You could create a structure which produces metal and consumes energy, but going low on energy or even turning energy consumption off wouldn't stop the metal from getting produced.
