Are there any custom maps that feature super saturation of metal deposits? It would be fun to try a map that had high densities of metal deposits rendering the scramble for resources moot. It would be a different style of game.
The Bare Bones lava planet in my pack has tons of metal spots. You can also make your own by increasing metal density. These are really only fun (at least for me, I don't really encounter challenging opponents on these maps anymore) if you feel like spamming 4000 units and 300 factories.
