Anything the tank can do, the gunner can do better

Am I right, or am I right? Or am I right or am I right?

I play both classes, and while the tank can be fun, he just feels so gimp compared to the gunner.
The tank has to get pretty close to do any damage at all with the jet gun, and at that range the minigun basically kills instantly, plus it has the advantage of the slowing effect so people can't dodge or run as easily.
The tank is one of the better classes for taking down turrets with his grenade, but the gunner mortar can do it even faster and from a safe distance.
Gunner deploy is useful, tank deploy is nearly useless.

Aside from being able to escape a little easier by using his charge, is the tank really better at anything?

I tried the gunner and I couldn't go back to the tank fast enough.

Firstly there's the health... a gunner can't take down an assassin nearly as effectively as a tank can, especially upgraded.

Then there's the railgun which currently seems to be the tank's best kept secret, it's a nice, effective weapon at long range, great to use to take down certain turrets enemies the tank has trouble with at close range, like the gunner, and thin out bots before they get close.

Tank deploy IS useful, very much so for turret assaults and taking out jackbots, since it also extends the range of the Jet gun.

Finally, the charge is an amazingly good offensive weapon, especially when upgraded, it's not just good for escaping.
