I'm thinking of starting a MNC ladder after the tournament, but I'd like to ask you guys want in the ladder or whether you want a ladder.

This ladder will have a sole purpose of just showing what teams are at top notch.

    For rules I was thinking:

    Default Rules:
    6 v 6
Limit of two of each class
    Time: 15 Minutes
    Overtime: Off
    Juice Buying: Off
    Hazards: On
    Bot Spawning: On
    Mascot: Optional

    Challenging Rules:
If a team does not accept a challenge, it counts as a loss
The challenged team chooses who hosts the match (Host must have a good upload speed)
Both teams must accept what the date of the game will be
If a team is missing a player, they have 30 minutes to have a sub play for them, and both teams must agree on the sub
The challenging team decides what map will be played on

    Ingame rules:
    No airstriking the spawn ring
No jet gun glitching the spawn doors
To prove someone is breaking the rules, you must have visual proof (IE legible picture/video of dying inside of the spawn room)

I'm open for any suggestions you have!

    YES!
There is a cat stuck in this tree outside... a ladder is EXACTLY what I need.

    Ideas. Mostly stolen.

-Seasonal league. Each season every team faces every other team. Winner of the season is the team with the most wins. When there are an uneven number of teams or a team dissolves before a scheduled match, a bye is given. What order the teams face each other should be randomized, as should the maps(to prevent any teams from playing only on their best map and make things more competitive). If a bye is needed at the start of the season, it should be given to a random team that isn't expected to be on the top tier.

-Either team may report the results of a match, but if the results are disputed proof in the form of pictures or video is required to determine which team actually won. If no proof is available, the teams must come to an agreement about which won or they both receive a loss.

-Ties cannot occur. In the unlikely event that a match does end in a tie...Replay, obviously.
-Each match should have a week to be played.
-If results from a match are not reported on time, both teams receive a loss.
-Roster caps. Teams cannot exceed twelve players.

-Roster lockouts. Teams cannot use subs from other teams, only free players and they cannot field newly-joined team members until they've played the match scheduled for the current period.

It's all for fairness and to make things more competitive. If you guys wanted a REALLY competitive league though, there would need to be standardized endorsements for each class...Or just force everyone to use the default classes. But of course nobody'd like that ;) There's also the question on whether it's money earned or who loses their moneyball is a better indicator of skill...But I don't know.

GB no longer supports MNC for the 360.

I was thinking about disallowing explosive rounds for the sniper. Any other skills you think shouldn't be allowed?

I literally can't tell if you are joking or not with some of the rules. I know you haven't had the opportunity to play a lot of privates/team matches yet, but it truly is much different.

For example, without juice buying and OT no game will ever end if the two teams are even half way decent. I know the whole no buying juice thing comes from people in public games running around buying juice a hundred times in a game, but at the competitive level, against two established teams, it is rare that it happens since it is much harder to get a streak of kills enough to pay for it (remember, most teams won't have 3/4 randoms to prey off of). It does happen, but one team must have already established dominance by then, and really it's COMPETITIVE play. If you allow it to happen, then learn from it, and get better for next game. Also, good teams have to coordinate juice rushes with multiple people stringing juices after each other just because everyone understands how important bot lanes are, and you need multiple people juicing in a row just to slay everyone on the other team long enough to lead bot lanes in. Even then it is sometimes hard because people will sacrifice themselves for the greater good and stop bots from downing the ball.

Disallowing certain skills is also stupid. If it is in the game, let it play. Nothing is so drastically overpowered (especially not the sniper) that it needs to be removed for any actual competitive playing. It's not like only one team can run sniper, and how about actually using teamwork/strategy in a competitive game to overcome such obstacles?

Also, I don't get why you wouldn't be able to airstrike the spawn RING. I just don't see how that effects... anything except spawn camping. Spawn camping for an extended period of time like never happens in competitive games because by the time you are in their base, the ball is usually down or on its way down. Once that ball is down, teams don't waste anytime draining it.

Personally, I would love a properly put together ladder, but changing things and disallowing certain other things based off what happens in public games is a bad idea.

I agree with kckzi, I think it'd be more appropriate for changes to be made later if a problem is noticed and blatantly in contrast to good play since the game at a competitive level is still evolving. At the moment, it doesn't seem to me that juice buying or overtime ruins competitive play.

Alright, I wasn't all that sure what was what in most competitive games so I kinda free based it. I'll update it once I stop being lazy.

I would be interested. I'm starting to get back into MNC, although I'm not really all that great at it.
