I had a budget Dell laptop (win 7) that was passably playable offline with lowered quality settings using the integrated graphics. Just sprang for a nice ASUS ROG i7 laptop, 12 meg memory and GTX 765M w/2 meg Vram. The game is unplayable, with the screen updating once every 1-2 seconds! Did all the usual troubleshooting recommendations and it's still crap. Even spectating games is painful. Unless something amazing happens soon, I'm going to return it to the store on Monday.
So just to check you've tried the following: 1: remove Asus gamefirst software 2: increase page file size 3: update graphics drivers to latest available from nvidia (also ensure game is set to run on the nv card in settings and not the integrated gpu on the i7)...
Hmm, just to check, does the machine run other games ok? if you haven't had chance to test you could try 3d mark on the system (use the free demo on steam, no need for paid version). If that is all good then problem is a conflict with PA and something in the machine, a clean boot will allow to test this:https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/929135 (instructions are for Windows 7 but work for 10 as well). If that cures it then just a case of going through to identify what is causing the problem...
