Yeah... If I would've known it was coming to Steam I would've never bought it on Xbox Live, but...

There is that. I was thinking more along the lines of the whole "splitting the playerbase" issue.

Well. If this doesn't split the playerbase, nuthin will.

Um... what? This will take away a small group of people from the consoles that would rather play on PC, but for the most part, the console playerbase won't be split. I'm going to wager that once this game launches on the PC, at least 80% will be brand new to the game, and most people that play on the console will stay on the console, since that is where most of their friends are (which happens to be while I'll still be playing on the console most of the time).

If I had a gaming laptop, I'd buy the game on Steam, but would mostly play it when I'm not around my console. I don't think the player base is going to be split. The game is so cheap that you can get it on both platforms and play whichever one you want. I wouldn't mind cappin' some foos on MNC while chillin' at Starbucks. Except for the weird sounds I'd make.

I blow air out of my mouth while I concentrate on anything! I don't know when it started or why it happens, but I can't help it! /cry

At least we know when you mean business. On the other hand, though, I'm starting to wonder how much you enjoy hugging people. xD

When I'm concentrating, I poke my tongue out my mouth like in cartoons, and my blinks lessen in frequency.

I'm usually at highest concentration when I'm seeking revenge, during which I become a completely different person, as you witnessed last night, haha.

I dunno. PC is generally higher quality in nearly every aspect.

But, my main point is a rebuttal for implementing more playlists, or ways to divide the players would be "splitting the playerbase". Just find it funny, as, when you ship to a different, and better in virtually every way, platform, I'd call it splitting the playerbase.

This is an opinion, not a fact.

Talking about opinions is lame, in my opinion.

It's kind of implied, and quite heavily so, I might add, that when someone says something, it's an opinion. In fact, it is a fact that it's an opinion, unless it's a fact. I've never understood the need to call someone else out on something, and state, "That's an/your opinion.". It's like telling me "You play MNC.". This is a known fact, that is understood and implied by the fact that I'm here. Similarly, unless it's a known fact, it is, indeed, an opinion. So, unless you would like me to explain my reasoning for said opinion, or you're looking to start some type of debate, I see no possible reason to go out of your way and wasting a post on the thread to point out what is already known: That what I said, is my opinion.

    Calm down MojoJojo.

The reason I pointed it out is that not everyone will have the same opinion as you and migrate to the PC. The way that you say it makes it seem like "PC is better" is a unanimous decision. Phrase your connotations wisely.

I agree with Billy in that some people make make the jump but the majority will stay on the system simply because that's where everyone else is.

That, coupled with the fact that I don't have a gaming laptop/want to spend any extraneous cash is the reason I'll prefer to stay on the console.

Playlists on one platform: split small sized user base.

Expanding to another platform: undisclosed sized migratory user base plus a COMPLETELY NEW user base which has the potential to surpass the size of CURRENT xbox only active user base, and provides dedicated servers as a solution for the playlist requests.

In response to the OP, this isn't at the the same as the other things the devs are against that would "split the playerbase". This will split the playerbase, but only because it's adding on a whole new demographic of players, where as other things might split the current playerbase.

There is a lot that can be said about consoles vs. computer gaming, however saying that PC gaming is better in every way is simply a falsehood. There is a reason that PC gaming has been declining for the last several years and now only makes up a small fraction of the overall gaming market.

Pet peeve. Can't stand it when someone says that. So. Friggin. Pointless.

Oh god, will it ever. Srsly, putting it on PC is practically guaranteeing it a long, healthy life, with a lot more community input. But, point being, choose the dark side.

I don't pretend to understand or say I know a lot about it. Only, that in my experience, a game on the PC has always been a more pleasurable experience when compared to a console. Just about better everything.

And, the "splitting the playerbase" thing is mostly me poking fun. I find it funny.

In general players don't play on both platforms.
When we talk about splitting the player base we talk about splitting the Xbox player base. Which, for the vast majority of the time, are not the PC player base.

I played on 360 because its Uber. A lot of the people at Uber were at GPG and I loved those guys. Then I found out the men behind Demigod was at Uber. More points. I played a TON of MNC on 360 but I got fed up with having to do dual screen/get out the console/set everything up. But I did it for a while and I love the game. But my group has PCs. Its easier to get games going on PC and the control inputs are better. I will be playing a $*3% ton of MNC now that its coming to PC.
