All of a sudden this started happening. Eventually you can't even build in the darkness. Really odd.

    It looks totally badass though.

On your question - Turn off AO and HDR. See if that helps? Then try see which one it is.
Also, make sure your drivers are updated to the latest version

My thoughts exactly ;) Yeah, played around and it was AO not HDR.

    Thank you!

This happened to me also as soon as I updated to the latest nVidia driver and so I'm nearly certain it's the new driver causing the problem. darkness.jpg Kind of a pain in the butt.

What happens when you uninstall the latest driver and go back to the previous one?:)

Okay, what happens if you go back to the current driver. Then turn off AO and HDR. Please turn on AO and HDR individually. So we know what the problem occurs.
    Thank you.:D

Ambient occlusion is causing the problem it seems. With the new driver, HDR enabled, and AO disabled the game goes back to normal. Turning on AO really screws up the lighting.

I'm running a GTX 670 and just updated to the newest nVidia drivers (337.88) and am also experiencing this problem.

Turning off AO did resolve the issue, but hopefully this can get fixed because AO makes the game look lovely!

I tried to see if it happens on my ATI card but it seems it's an issue with NVIDIA only. Hopefully it gets resolved soonTM.

I'm also getting this issue after updating to the latest driver, GTX 670. After turning off AO the problem was fixed

For the record: same problem here. Update nvidia driver to 337.88 and everything went dark, even with AO off. Lights look cool though.

God damn I wish I never updated my drivers... I'd love to play like this :(
This seriously needs to be a graphics option some day, whether through Varrack's lighting wizardry or modding.
