Any word on a *nix version?

    Just wondering if there will be one. I run CentOS dedi but it does not have a gui so I can't run wine. Is there any ETA on when this will come out?

    I'm no uber ent, but I seriously doubt they will make one. They don't have the resources nor the motivation to do so.

    Like for a lot of things it's very easy to explain: Financially it makes no sense to port the game to Linux or any other Unix OS for that matter. There are just not enough people to pay for the games.

    It might be more of a middle-ware issue than a dev issue. There is a reason there is NO UE3 titles on linux. Dedicated servers were done with UT3 but that's about it, no 3rd party dev I can think of has dedicated linux servers on UE3.
