I'm tired of watching people run past bots and not taking them down. It's turning into a team deathmatch game already. Any gamers out there want to team up and show these pugs what's up?
It's only day two. I think once teams get consistently rolled by other teams who are playing the game with any kind of strategy you will see some of the death match mentality disappear. You may say I'm a dreamer. But I'm not the only one.
Right here. Old School. I was actually shocked when I got in a game with a bunch of MW2 junkies and tried to coordinate strat (no one else was and we were getting stomped) and was told to shut up.
Usually I ignore bots...I focus on taking out their key players and stragglers, and then save my money for the annihilator. So basically, farm up your necessary skills and then save up $250.
If you destroy bots on your way to the front lines, this will make it easier on the support classes (it's pretty clear you play Assassin to the exclusion of all other classes) and means you'll win more. You're helping defense by going the two steps out of your way and taking out the bots with a shot or two.
The more you kill on your way to the front line...the quicker the your bots behind you can start rolling on their moneyball. If you take out 3 that's 3 less that your bots will have to kill. Instead, they can just traipse right up to the base...because the DPS classes certainly aren't paying attention to the bots.
It's true, I play assassin. I play her on Ammo Mule and Grenade iii. Though on Steel Peel I play support and on LaseRazor I play Gunner.
Exactly. And if it's a team that has more than two Assassins, they'll be so busy trying to backstab your tanks at midway, they won't know their MB is fooked until it's too late.
I rushed the MB in my first two rounds of Crossfire with the Assault. I learned my lesson. Even though I actually did pretty good, but one person isn't supposed to be able to take down the shields. Don't even try that. Finishing it off is pretty darn easy though.
Asses should be rushing and taking out turrets right as they're finished, effectively keeping support from helping to establish a foothold at midpoints, or (worse!) the edge of your spawn. Everyone else should be vaping bots to build skills. :geek:
One of the strategies that I find the most useful is literally picking a group of bots to escort and taking them as far as possible. Don't forget that turrets shoot at them first and you can use them for cover. As support you can pretty much just airstrike any bots in front of you.
I play Assassin, Gunner and Support. And personally I find the assassin to be one of the best bot destroyers out of all the pros. Everytime I go behind enemy lines for a target (Usually taking the less crowded corridor and exiting via the packed one) I try to go in, take him out, dash and sweep the crowded bot corridor on my way back. In my opinion the assassin, when used with a non deathmatch mentality, is one of the greatest assets to the team. 1 on 1 against a Jackbot an Assassin is also the best solution with the grapple (If you die you at least bought your team some time with the grapple animation.) Anyhow, I think that in a few weeks we'll be seeing more objective driven Assassins.
I had a great game filling in as a sniper when my team did not have one, I single handedly cleared the right lane of Bots just sniping, and letting our bots get to their base allowed our team to then move in for a quick win.. Great advice Scathis.
