The boys at Valve and not to mention many other game companies do it. Would Uber be interested in doing something in the future? I have a ton of friends who can't take my word that this game is amazing for the price of 15 bucks!
Kind of hard to ask that for a game that is in beta. And even after being released it will take a while.
A free weekend already? I don't think this game even needs one right now, it's already a hot seller/preorder. Every time I have seen a free weekend on steam games it's been because of 1) it's a valve game and it's already been out for 1+ year, or 2) some other titles like shattered horizon lack sales after the first month or two so they work out a free weekend @ sale price, sort of like a last resort. MNC needs none of that
They've said they'll be offering us all a guest pass or two once beta is over, so you can hook your friends that way. I imagine any free weekends would be further down the road once sales have plateaued and need a boost
If they had an MNC free weekend right at release, I imagine it would spread like wildfire via word of mouth. Add a TF2 for people who purchase during the free weekend and we're golden. :mrgreen:
