Another day, another crash.

I'd say around 1/4 of my games are crashing at the moment, and when I try to rejoin it connects me to the previous game.

My hardware is more than adequate to run this game - but I get regular crashes, roughly 1/4 games crash. My last game with nolanthenerd crashed and it pissed me off enough to consider hanging the fedora and retiring from gaming. This is serious business.

I have not crashed once since release. Adequate hardware means absolutely nothing if the drivers are out of date.

That's a fair point but my 'crash' always takes the form of a disconnect from the sever, not a client crash.

Hmm, based on the international fedora regulations that kind of crashing is out of my hands.

I don't really know how to help with server disconnects, unless the other person also disconnected. If it is just you it might be antivirus/firewall issues.

Hmm.. Really? Well the servers were quite bad a week ago, how's the sim perf and such?

It's just me, since the last update happened it's happened on two occasions. Prior to the last update, I had no problems. The incidents typically happen in a 1v1 format.

It might be PA Stats, although i have never crashed there either, and i've played somewhere around 7 games since the reset.

It may well just be me - but I doubt it's a hardware problem. It's just hard you know? I have a lot of ego invested in my reputation on the ladder - to be defeated by such a middle-ranked creature as nolanthenerd as a result of a crash is quite horrifying.

So to clarify you get "crashes" in the sense that you disconnect from a server for no apparent reason, PA puts you in the main menu and your opponent keeps playing?

Sounds like some form of connection issue to me, never have seen this issue.

... actually I have seen it when my internet connection decided to do a connection reset while I was playing. That usually was fixable by closing PA, waiting till my net is back up and then restarting and reconnecting.

I should both add and double post that attempts to reconnect result in reconnecting to my previous game, which has of couse now finished thus I am presented with the option of connecting to said game and yet unable to join as I've been kicked off.
