On a few occasions I've done a suicide run to the Annihilator and while I do make it and the game does take my cash, if I die before my character animation actually hits the button, the Annihilator does not fire and I still lose my cash
What usually happens soon after is an enemy Pro gets to hit the button while I respawn $250 lighter

    It's a bit maddening

It's happened to me - same problem exists when dealing with ejectors. I'd imagine it's primarily lag-based, but I'd imagine that they'd be able to provide a fix. (they already fixed a lag-based issue with assassins dealing extra damage)

Not sure if it's lag as it happens when I'm on a server with 40 or less ping
If the "buy, animation, fire" bit is intentional, maybe a damage reduction should apply while in the process of hitting the button

I have single digit ping on the official iad servers, it still happens.

I doubt losing money with no benefit is intentional.

Happens to me all the time.

Where the hell do you live? I'm on the most powerful service available in my area and struggle to find lobbies under 100 ping.

I don't have any sources, but it has been posted in several threads before this one that this is intentional, and specifically designed to discourage annihilator suicide rushes. Infuriating? Yes. A bug? No.

It's intentional, it's suppose to block suicidal people from getting the annihilator with absolutely no map control.

Sounds like a rumor more than it actually being intentional.

'Cause I hardly think losing 250 bucks without triggering the annihilator is intentional. It sounds rather stupid.

It is intentional. Eka has confirmed it. I'm too lazy to try and find the post.

There is like a one second window where you can kill the character after they spend the money, but before the animation activates it.

Personally I think its BS, but the Devs have spoken :ugeek:
