I believe a few other people have seen this or had this happen to them, but a few hours ago before I was hit with the planet to planet bug during the new single player experience Galactic War, I was facing off against a faction leader, so it was me & 3 sub commanders vs 3 enemy commanders spread apart by 2 planets and a 'moon'(even tho me 3 subs and 2 enemies where all on the same planet). Everything was fine early game and first parts of middle, however once it started hitting the later section of the match (the crawl to find the last commander on the moon or something) the animations where becoming clunky, stop start and dragging, units jumping from spot to spot etc. All this lead up to eventually the entire break and permanent freeze of units and all animations. I was still able to zoom, move the camera look into the setting and what not but the animation for the planets moving, units, and buildings just froze. the cause is, from what i can think of, is the fact that the AI just never stops producing units, so they stockpile up 100's of units (plus all the movement, explosions, shooting, and green goo spraying) that just pulls on the systems ability to keep up with it all until it just breaks. Knowing this game is still in its early stages, I think a plausible solution would be to implement a population maximum until the system has been fine tuned and strengthened to allow infinite production by multiple sources (players or AI) so that larger games with more combatants dont crash under the weight of their own unit, or their enemies surplus unit production. I know i have yet to receive any of this in a smaller 1v1 game setting but for those wanting bigger battles with more people would find this issue to be something important to look at.
