Just out of curiosity. Do you prefer iOS or Android?

Please vote only according to the OPERATING SYSTEM as it will be unfair to pit higher end phones that run android with an iDevice as Android neither designs nor makes their own phones.

To keep a non-biased opinion, if you don't have experience with both iOS and android, don't vote.

For personal use and development Android.

If I want to make an app and make money iOS.

Why? There is less than a handful of products to test to get it working, android has a few thousand devices making it impossible to test on all devices the application could be installed on. Android is a bit open on what you can use to interface (Touch, mouse and keyboard, stylis, joysticks, multi-screen) which is great but its easy to get lost on what ones to focus the gui of the app to run with. That and dealing with multiple stores can be annoying.

Also reasons to Jailbreak an iPhone for is for more features, though they are slowly adding all the features that jailbreaking gave you years ago, REVOLUTIONARY.
Reason to root an android device, remove crapware. Pure Android devices are really a joy work work on, sadly a majority are not.

Its impossible to give an unbiased opinion about them. iOS is tightly coupled to the hardware it runs on. Where as Android is pretty much an OS you can throw on anything.

The one that has the following:
    Busybox with optional root access
    ssh clients and servers
    http servers
a map tool that isn't broken
full remote control of the phone from a pc
full remote control of a pc from the phone
    widgets

    Also, no walled garden.

I had an original Motorola DROID when they first came out, and kept an iPod touch next to me at home to do anything the phone was too sluggish at.

I now have an iPhone 5.

I use an Android phone and have an iPod touch. iOS runs smoother but is *extremely* limited in functionality compared to Android.

    I've got an iphone 5.

Don't expect much from a phone, so I've never been disappointed
