Scramblers rarely ever see themselves employed in Crossfire: though a nuisance in Blitz they're destroyed without a second thought in Crossfire before they can do any significant skill drains. Of course this is because Scramblers are not the "spawn and forget about 'em" type of bot: they must be protected to see their full potential brought forward, and Sniper can only keep so much of an eye on them (if he keeps one at all!). Therefore I was thinking that they might have a skill-restoration aura for friendly Pros, that is either A: Always active, as powerful as Silver skill restoration maybe? B: Gives its aura off when it drains enemy Skills or C: Both of the above, skills healing as fast as a Churro when draining enemy skills This would give extra incentive to protect Scramblers that have been spawned, and extra incentive to spawn Scramblers. One could easily argue that this would spur extra incentive simply to do as you've been doing and destroy them on sight; but it would turn a pair of Scramblers into an interesting mini-objective. Plus, since people would likely stick to the Scramblers, it would make bot-pushing a viable tactic.
It's a cool idea, but I still wouldn't think that would encourage players to buy more Scramblers. What the Scramblers really need is speed boost.
A sudden speed burst towards any pro that fires on the bot would be Tasty, it would add a new twist to the Scrambler. It would also be pretty tasty if when a scrambler bot got into close combat with a pro, it clamped onto them and stuck tight until the pro managed to melee their way out.
I think if they were faster then Blackjacks but slower then Gremlins it would work out fairly well w/out impacting Blitz too much.
Scrambler gets shot - it phases out and re-appears behind you. You're taking down a bot-wave when bam! A prawn monster starts tearing your face off.
maybe armor, or armor and speed. i say having 2 of them as they are now, has seen some uses. ive seen scramblers melee turrets to death, melee pros to death, drain down assaults and assassins... they are like an anti-gremlin.
I don't want to bring old topics back up, but I wanted to clear something up. Are you talking about buffing Scramblers in Crossfire only? Because in Super Sudden they actually are quite the nuisance.
it would inadvertedly do both. like juice gain rate updates for support. and cooldown time for airstrikes. tho churros are actually pretty common in ssdb
I say just leave them as they are or when some noob gets annoyed that his juice got drained when he was full of it (juice) he will start bothering all the vets (us) and then the rest of up will get annoyed with u
I randomly spawned scramblers today, and got a kill. I was like AMAFAKINGAWDIGOTASCRAMBLERKILLYEAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Five minutes later, I got a Longshot kill.
