All my complining aside..and rage messeges I have sent...I hate my anger issues...here is my own support guide! First I will say I am not as good as SXD...but I think im decent. We will start with the Endorsements! My style has changed ever since the DLC due to nerfs on juice gain and the airstrike. Endorsements are as followed. LVL3: Aptilube (skill regen) LVL2:Steel Peel (Health) LVL1: Itchy Finger (Fire rate) This Support build is base defense with a slight mix of offense. When you spawn upgrade Hack only. Save up you money to get Hack to level 3 as soon as possible. While you wait for money put down a 1.2 firebase in bot lanes for some free money and mabye a kill or two. After lvl 3 hack get your base upgraded to at least lvl 2 rockits on the sides of the moneyball...pray that your team mates help out. As the Support its your job to protect your moneyball more so that the other classes. If you care about K/D then this is not the class for you. If this mean you grab a juiced Pro and die? do so for the sake of your turrets. Untill Uber puts an assist system in for the support for healing or hacked turrets..if your turrets gets destroyed then get your fire base form the bot lane, that is if its not destroyed and slap it on the side you see bots coming. Airstrikes...are hard to explain. Unless your VERY good at leading a target to throw it on them this is not a usefull tool against pros , but keep them handy for to keep them away for a few seconds. Who knows that 3 or 4 seconds may buy you much needed time to get a grip on the situation! Firebase locations: There are a few I have learned. First is on Spunky Cola. The first spot is behind the spunky Cola can platform on your side of the map. It has decent cover and can plug the bot lane. The second is on the second flor on thier side of the wall infron of the cola can on your side. make sure its peeking over the edge getting the bot lane. Only put it here if your team pushes the other team back just enough to sneak there and slap it down. It cover the ahnialator the bot lane and the second floor! Next we move on to Steel Peel. There are again two area a fire base is good here. the first is right behind the jump pad leading to the second floor in front of the enemy base. its a good suprise area but easily destroyed. the second is under the middle area. just peeking by the coloms looking into the enemy base. hack it and you will rack up kills! Ammo mule is..simple...put it in the middle! As far as grenade III and LaserRasor goes i have no idea where to put them. Next we learn about Juiced Assassins. True grabing them wastes the time and you should! However...due to lag issues if juiced assassin come in just run. Really try to get an ari strke on them or try to grab if your bold enough. Thank you for reading. As i learn more I will edit this guide. See you soon and please..no flamers or trolls.
This is the only real flaw I see in your strategy All kidding aside, you seem to have the Support worked out. I prefer gold fire rate, for improved healing/hurting and a quicker shotty. Recently though, especially after the update that keeps pros from shooting the moneyball down, I've learned to let go of the turrets at the base. If you can get them to a high level, requiring a little help from your teammates, they can dish out enough firepower to fend off a juice attack. If that's not going to happen. For instance, if you have a juice-chaining assassin wrecking your base, screw it. Pack up your firebase, get the lvl 2 support heal and push bots. I like your plan dude, I've played against you, and with you. You always seemed to have it together. Just thought I'd throw in the point about abandoning turrets that are going to get juicy-douched anyway. It took me a few frustrating rounds to realize, sometimes the best defense IS a good offense.
This is what I'm talking about. It's gonna happen. What do I do? I run away. I used to try and grapple, but either I suck at it, or I'm a bit laggy, but it works less often than not. Either way, my turrets are dead and so am I. If I see it coming, I'll usually bail. I might try to keep a 3.3 shaveice going or a rocket maybe by dropping airstrikes on it and healing it, but most often, it's a lost cause.
On Spunky Cola today, I killed 3 juiced Assassins on my own. Not at the same time, though. When I am playing a defensive support, I place my firebase on the inside near the moneyball so that when people come rush turrets, my Firebase starts wailing on them. Once they get in, I grapple them with the shotgun, so my firebase has a few seconds to shoot the crap out of them, then the second the grapple is over, I lay a severe close range shotgun blast to the face. If they are still alive by this time, I jump away from them and keep laying down shotgun fire. This way kills them really quick. One of the three I killed did manage to kill me, but not before my firebase finished him off. I got another one as well today(just a couple mins ago in fact). Same method, and I didn't even take damage. Oh, and the firebase was a 2.3 on both maps.
It seemed like a legitimate question so I felt that someone could use the tactic I use. It is very difficult to determine sarcasm in text...
Artic fox continuously griped about juicing assassins, i lol'd. BTW, juiced 10 times in a match this morning thanks to lazer blazers
