It would be great if we could get an art pack for PA. Having logos, renders, or just the typeface would be great for splash screens for streaming, video intros, or whatever else people might want to do with them.

You can get a number just by searching the install folder for *.png
Some more from the official website.

Well " C:\Program Files (x86)\Planetary Annihilation\PA\media\ui\alpha\start\img " has basically everything I wanted, thanks, Jessep. Though I would really like to know the font used for the PA logo.

Probably something whipped up by their art guy, doubtful it's a full font.

Anyways I went and started poking around, hoping to create a texture pack.... and I've gotta say these things are nuts. any chance someone like me can get something showing which couple-of-pixel-wide-chunk goes to which part of the model? Should I just start making things random colors until I figure it out?

No doubt that it's a modified font but it was probably at least based on something.

You need a program like Blender to work on the textures. It will allow you to load the UV map that shows which part of the texture goes where on the model. There is also an alpha channel for each texture with separate information that is baked on top of the texture. We might get some automation for that though.
