I hate games that come down to overtime. Usually those games are tight, where no one can seem to breach the other team's defenses.
They're a lot of fun, until overtime comes...

I think overtime should, instead of dropping both team's moneyball shields and giving the bacon effect to all players, give all players the bacon and make bots move increasingly faster every, say, 30 seconds.

I dunno about everyone else, but something like this would be a lot more fun.
    Any other ideas/feedback?

No, you're not the only one who hates overtime. We need it to resolve long-standing games, but can't stand it when it comes. We've actually been discussing this at length, but we haven't come up with a truly perfect solution yet.

I don't really dislike overtime. I dislike the fact that it all comes down to juicing the ball down at that point. I currently play sniper a lot, and it's insane how fast he can take down the moneyball.
Removing juice or toning it down TREMENDOUSLY would greatly improve the game in my opinion. Overtime would actually become a battle instead of a race.
Also the increased damage on the moneyball is kind of unneccesary. Overtime lasts 2 minutes but more often than not it takes less than 30 seconds to finish the moneyball.

i would like overtime to just start a countdown, but nothing else. at the end of the countdown, most ball health wins.

    a countdown....
You mean the game simply lasts 17 minutes and there is no overtime, right?

pretty much. or if the ball health would start depreciating on its own once overtime begins.

I hate overtime due to the damage players can do to the moneyball, juice or not it becomes a spam on the ball, i'd love to see pro damage done on the moneyball to be close to non exsistant and the bot's doing the damage work, juice rushing is still as effective as it was before the update.

It's a shame because most games I play it will go into overtime only to end by 2 or so people rushing the ball, you can completely come back in a match in a matter of seconds after spending 15 minutes working hard with the bots.

Just as easy as they can Juice Rush you can Juice Defend. I actually started Camping the Juice machines with my own Juice ready. It's been working every time I tried it.

    Pretty much this.
    Yes. Power to the bots!
The update said it would reduce the damage done to the ball, but I personally have not seen any damage reduction what-so-ever.
Juice defending is NOT easy. Especially when you're against multiple juicers.

I love overtime. I have The Final Countdown cued up every game just in case so I can play it as soon as it starts. I really should buy a mic so everyone can share the joy. I dance too. (PeachyPony can attest.) I even play defense sometimes just so the moment will last longer.

Not a great idea at all because with two very good teams, giving them bacon would just make it easier to kill bots, making the moneyballs impenetrable. Thus declaring a tie game, which just means who ever made more money would win.
So no, overtime is not a bad thing.

My only real problem with OT is that the entire purpose seems to be to bypass turrets. In OT it spawns Jackbots which destroy turrets if not dealt with quickly. In OT players get all Gold endorsements including 40% Juice so almost every Pro has Juice and turrets become pointless. In OT the Moneyball drops allowing Pros to damage it directly so turrets become, you guessed it, pointless.

The entire reason why I love(d) MNC was because of the turrets. If I want to play TDM or objective style games then TF2 is much, much better overall. Sorry Uber. So unless the turrets again become the focus of MNC I doubt the game will keep its players as interested over time.

Hey McFly, everyone has bacon during overtime or the equivalent (all gold endorsements).

I'd have to agree with Hiero that current turret placements are mostly useless to begin with and this problem is only exaggerated during overtime when it's very easy to juice naturally. Turrets are way too expensive considering how easily they are destroyed.

I'm really fond of the idea that the shield doesn't automatically drop during overtime. If the balls are equal then the team that earned the most money wins.
