I think since we have actual teams now, we should begin allow multiple classes per team. In light of this idea, I figured I would run down a few alternate setups that can be successful depending on the team. 1 Assassin 1 Assault 1 Gunner 2 Snipers 1 Support STRATEGY- This team setup is probably the most viable outside of the standard "1 per class". By giving up the tank for an extra sniper, you give up some bot pushing power. Granted, you can still kill bots, it's much harder to make that final push into the base. But in return for this, you obtain a stronger slayer, more ice traps/harassment, and more frequent juice. Also with the added sniper, it becomes much easier to kill the enemy gunner and tank. The best way to run this setup is to keep the enemy gunner pushed back for long enough that your own gunner can push in and take care of the assault, sniper, support, and tank. When making the final push, the assassin has to get her hands dirty and push bots while one of the snipers juices and kills pros. This setup probably works best on G3, since the sniper is much more at home on this map. COUNTER- This team has a hard time killing the enemy assassin, so your best bet is to have a smart assassin who can push bots effectively while your tank counters their assassin. It also helps to play extra-aggressively to keep the enemy snipers pinned back. Once they set up and get ice traps everywhere, it could be game over. 2 Assaults 1 Gunner 1 Sniper 1 Support 1 Tank STRATEGY- This team focuses on using their extra slaying power to keep the enemy team pushed back for the entire game. Since the team only has a tank to kill bots, this can only be done on Steel Peel and Ammomule since they are the only maps on which the tank can handle 100% of the bots from a safe area. Also, the support can set up a handy firebase to defend one lane if need be. This team has the ability to totally outslay the opponent and kill bots, but not push bots. This team relies on the tank holding down a safe area and railgunning/grenading all the bots (it can be done on Steel Peel and Ammomule), and then escorting the jackbot while the rest of the team spawn kills the opponent. If worst comes to worst and the game lasts until overtime, you have 2 assaults to kill the ball. COUNTER- A smart assassin coupled with an assault who isn't afraid to overextend and kill the tank is the best counter to this team. All it takes is one person to dislodge the tank and then coordinate a push in both lanes. The problem is that you have to get past 5 slayers with your 4 and also keep bots moving without being massacred. Feel free to come up with and test out your own based on your team's strengths and weaknesses.
2 assault lineup would be fun to test out with the H&S team..i feel sorry for the sniper on the other team that has to face Kckzi and Chron...
