    I was born on 9/11.
    My father was in 9/11. (not dead)
    I can't say I'm too miffed by this.

    It's certainly distasteful, but at least it's not as bad as most 9/11 stuff.

    My town had a parade on 9/11. Threw candy and everything.

    I, in third grade, had to do a report on the events of 9/11. Looking back on it I know so very little except the basics. I was afraid, people died, it could have easily been my relatives.

    I wasn't mad just really sad.

    Years later, now that the corpses of one of the guys responsible for the initial planning is dead at the bottom of the sea being slowly devoured by bottom feeders (worms, crabs etc.) I feel a bit better.

    The time inbetween has been rough. Hate crimes, prejudice, and nationalism hurt a lot in those first few years and even now we remain defensive and scared inside but for one brief moment and a few days later we came together. I cant say whether or not we are better people after these events.
