About 30 mins ago the Alpha rollout status said we will finish the last batches by tonight but now its saying early next week... i really wanna play _____________________________ I'm not so happy, or I'm misreading So wait are we giving more batches out tomorrow or early next week If its next week, that's unfair... some backers already got there game now the rest of us have to wait... You did say final touches are un-stabilizing the build but i do not even care one bit if the game is being buggy, this game does have an updater right? if so then you can just update the game slowly as you fix more and more bugs, so please give out the last batches by tomorrow or tonight a lot of people would love to play Thanks -GurfX
No idea what you're reading? http://www.uberent.com/pa/2013/06/06/al ... t-started/ That seems to suggest that barring any massive disaster(aka asteroid hitting Uber HQ, though really they should have a plan for that...) the rest of the keys should be sent out in the 24 - 48 hours?
@gurfx Would you be so kind to tell us where you are taking this information from.... Because for me it still says most keys should go out today
Even if it was postponed to next week - what makes you think you are being treated unfair? The devs are trying to make the game experience as good as possible - if they decide it is not ready for more people don't you think they have reason to do so? Or would you rather get a key but not be able to play because of server overload? Guess what - I preordered for 250$, haven't got a key yet and wouldn't mind waiting till next week if that improves my experience.
The Steam release of the alpha is being pushed back a week. The people that paid money eight months ago are getting the alpha now. We've paid first, so we get it first. That's fair.
I get it, there's the Alpha roll out topic on this forums and on the link you put above is what i got mixed up with sorry, thanks for the answer helped out
The keys are sent in batches to make sure the servers can take it and there are no showstopper bugs. If you do it all at once you are always in danger of running into a problem you didn't foresee or oversaturating the servers. Then nobody can play and it takes longer to fix. I'm sure Sim City fans will agree...
Sim City 2000 and I can deal with Sim City IV although the UI and other Sims related stuff makes me wanna punch my monitor occasionally. It would be nice if somebody would make a Sim City that focuses on simulating a city again. No Sims, no missions, no stadium events to micro - just lots of room to build and a good sim. By Basement Cat, this went off topic fast!
