Alpha release goal Friday the 3rd of may 2013?

I highly doubt that that is when the Alpha will be making its debut, but theres been ALOT of times where I have been wrong.

Make it the 1st may. Would be a pretty nice birthday present for me.
Even though from neutrino's "earlier than most of you expect" in the last stream I hope it will be earlier.

Seriously, I doubt that they actually have a date that is that fixed yet. So the only thing we maybe can conclude from that timer is that on the 3rd of may beta will not be reached, otherwise it would not make sense to include alpha in the package.

I thought they said that this is an time limited offer.

Did you have any specific thoughts or do you just think this is too early/late?

In my eyes it seems very realistic compared to the full-game release in summer and having a bit more than a month for alpha and beta.

in the last live stream they said they had a date they're shooting for. but you might be right that it's around beta release.

The reason it is a limited time offer because when the game hits beta, alpha will never happen again :mrgreen:

Yeah I am thinking that is more likely to be a beta timer as well.

For a lot of games you can get in the alpha after the alpha is out. The only time that it wouldn't make sense to let people in an alpha is when the beta is out.

Beta wont be for a hella long time. You do know that BEtA comes AFTEr Alpha right?

If that timer is for any sort of release, it would be Alpha... or the next huge update :3

Maybe a big update or gameplay preview but not the alpha. It seems too soon.

on the last live stream i think they said "Alpha start sooner than you think" and in the last update they said that they "soon" will show a gameplay video. and if the game i playable i guess it won't take to long time before alpha starts.

Nah, nothing to do with alpha.

Maybe its a count down to a Raffle that allows a few lucky people to get their hands on a custom Commander without paying the 1000 bucks

or it is just the time limit for that offer.
But that would be way tooooo easy and obvious.

That countdown signals the end of the Uber Entertainment Long Count Calendar. Clearly the end of this calendar means that the world ends at the same time.

They said in the last live stream that Alpha is closer than we think. I still believe that to keep on summer release it would have to be Alpha some time in March or Early April. In march it could run for 2 months, Then move to Closed beta run that for 2 months and whatever past that if they want to go to release or not.
