Been getting a lot of questions about it, so: you don't get your account flagged for the alpha forum, until your key has been unlocked. The reason is I don't have time to add 8000 or so people manually to the group. Your account is flagged automatically for access as soon as your key is activated. IF you are already playing the alpha and don't have access, then and only then please send me a PM about it. Thanks all! Happy alpha-ing!
Not yet. PA has not been launched on Steam and you can't transfer your key to it yet. Maybe tomorrow?
Why not give all backer READ access to the forum and only those that are playing the alpha WRITE access. This way we can all be part of the alpha. Now it feels like PA is moving on and we (non alpha) are left behind.
Read-only would be a terrible idea. Every non-alpha player that wants to ask a question will make a new thread on the same subject and ask the question there. Then people will invariably answer it, and split the discussion. It'd be a proper mess.
Being completely excluded is no fun at all. General/backer forum are not used much atm the alpha forum is where the action is.
Not really. It only contains a list of bugreports and very few discussions on them. Without access to the game you probably don't even care that unit X got stuck in Factory Y yet again.
Hey, I just noticed today that my email in my Uber Store account apparently was not verified - I never got any email asking me to do so, though. By "changing" my email to the same one, I was able to verify my email now. Now I hope that this will not be an issue with the alpha key delivery?
I am in the alpha now, yeey. What might be boring for some is interesting for others. I like to read unit x stuck in factory y for the twentieth time. That is part of the reason I wanted to be part of the alpha. Uber has a great idea of how to setup this game. I always hoped gpg would do something like this. (unfortunately they were not in a position to do that with their games, whole conversations have been posted on all kind of forums/reddit/etc as to why) Recognising that it is all about the community and that a game needs to be supported for a long period of time is for me a "game changer". blablabla etc etc etc Long story short: I have been VERY excited from the moment when I first saw the kickstarter and have been eversince. And I have the opportunity to be a very small part of the creation of the game. Anyway, it is great to be part of the alpha. However small it may be, I am now part of the process again, not standing aside!
