Alpha Commanders not given to Alpha testers?

So whats the deal here? I bought into the game early early alpha and one of my favorite commanders was the alpha. I thought they had removed it from the game until I saw someone with it. apparently it was only given to the kickstarter backers. Real shame that I spent $80 on this game and don't get some lovin back.

Alpha commanders are given to people who

Backed on kickstarter for $90+
Bought the Galactic Edition from the Uber store (Not the steam store)
Bought the Cosmic Edition from the Uber store.

As you backed in early access you get the Theta commander + 2 more early access exclusives that are yet to be released to us (one was part of the Christmas promo). These aren't available to the new customers, only early access or KS backers.

You should also have an 'Alpha tester' badge in the armoury, and your entitled to a copy of the digital soundtrack I believe. The 'Alpha' commander was probably a poor choice of name as actually that was always the 'Kickstarter Above $90' commander but I guess that's a less catchy name
