All Star Mode Question

Do you lose classes? Protags? Earnings? Anything?

You don't lose your custom classes. I seriously doubt you lose ProTags, and earnings will surely be untouched. You literally just lose the number beside your Gamertag I'd imagine!

I hate making the reference to a certain series of games that promote epeen stroking over teamwork, but...It's just prestiging. I'm guessing there will be multiple levels of it in the future as well.

I already play All Star Mode, but I guess this is just a race to see who'll get re-99

more importantly will i be considered as an all star by my peers?

I think the better question is, will the All Star mode apply retroactively or does it start you at level 0 regardless of if you have 1.8 million lifetime earnings or 5 million? I can think of quite a few players who would be 99 x2+ already if it is based on lifetime earnings.

Really, the only thing I can see useful for level 99s...Really, really expensive items that are exclusively decorative. Buy the Assault's new Victory Fro for only $5,000,000! Give your Assassin a kawaisa touch with her new Hello Kitty sword! That kind of thing. Protags are kinda cool and all...but no.

Well, since it's optional, I'm going to go ahead and say no, it won't apply retroactively.

I think mr Wulf has been taunted a few too many times concerning prestiging in mw/mw2.

It boils down to this: Do it, or don't. Don't knock others for choosing to, or not too. The MW2 hostility towards the unprestiged doesn't carry over here. It is a good idea for a leveling up style rank system, so why not implement it? I really am failing to see a problem with this.

I will imagine the reason why we have "All Star" now is because more then half of us (not including me) requested to go beyond 99 or to start over. I for one don't really like the idea but I was in the minority saying not to add it.

I'm not a fan of Cock of Doodie at all, let alone someone who's invested any remotely significant amount of time playing it :lol:

My point about the All-Star dealie is that having levels at all is kinda stupid and ultimately moot in MNC. People that've played a lot are all 99. People that've played a lot will all end up being All-Star 99 or whatever. There's not much point in it.


If we wanted something stating a rough estimate of a person's a skill at the game, I think a MUCH better idea would be a short marquee by each gamertag showing players' average match earnings and K/D ratio.

I mean srsly. I go "hey, I think those prestige lobby things sound dumb" and suddenly that means I'm an avid MW2 player that hasn't prestiged and also sensitive about it. Nice job trying to turn me into a strawman and failing at it. So...you think prestige is special and since most people that have played the game any decent amount of time think otherwise, you likely have prestige but did not earn it.

As for all star mode, I don't see myself doing it if it doesn't offer a bonus of some type.
I'm one of the ones that would be 99 x 2 by now (5 mil cash on hand), so I clearly play enough to hit 99 again fairly fast.
I just don't see the point of leveling up again for a symbol that will make people back out faster than ever or knock you if you have a bad game.
