So, I finally got to see my first planet smash today....... from my AI subcommander to me =/ It was my third try vs a particularily difficult commander battle, we had 3/4 planets, my planet was locked down tight - was almost done prepping 5 nukes which i planned to release for great hilarity prior to invading the last world.... Thennnn.... Celestial activity detected..... Ohhh whats that? Oh damnit my ally is going to smash the enemy planet before I get to nuke it! damnit!... ah well least I get to see the planet smash! Wait... wait.... that red line appears to be going towards my planet.... No, no that cant be right... Doublecheck that it's allied planet, with much of my army on it after having cleared it... ok... Check where the red line appears to end... yeah... that's my planet... not a single enemy on or around it.... Ok ok, the orbital slingshot lines often are weird with their display, surely it's just going to slingshot around... Stiiilll not slingshotting.... stillll not slingshotting... It's seriously going to target me isn't it.... You'll notice by the insane mass of grey units that the ai commander's army was also on the world being rammed... really wish the "build forever but never send them anywhere" bug was squashed with the ai revamp which is otherwise awesome, it murders performance =/ [Apparently had to delete all my images due to new poster restrictions... oh well, take my word on it =/] Cool.... oooh a crater... hm. yay. .... =/ So yeah, beware.
Oh yeah forgot to mention I uploaded it to the bug tracker, with 2 pics. Do a search for it if you're interested: FS#3875 - AI subcommander targets player controlled planet with planet smash (halley)
