I'm running 86765 with the Queller AI running on Platinum level and the planet is Lock. First off I LOVE the AI (Sorian and Queller). I have noticed a flaw in it though. The first issue is I can win at Platinum. When I finally play some ladder 1v1 you will understand why this is insane that I should be able to win at this level. What I have found is that Holkins confuse the hell out of the AI. If I am able to hold out and get a L2 factory my win rate using Platinum on Lock is like 90%. Once I get a L2 factory I beef up my metal and energy and start building some catapults (5) and around 3 Holkins with an advanced radar.. As soon as I do that the AI completely goes into defensive mode. The AI keeps out of my radar range and slowly gets destroyed by the Holkins. Let me point out it has scouted me continuously and has an army that could easily swarm and over run me. Easily. In fact it sometimes is in the process of destroying me and pulls back once I get the Holkins up. One last thing.. The AI moves its commander into range of the Holkins?! I guess it considers that an aggressive move? weird. I love that map, it allows for me to turtle. For me it is crazy fun to take the Chronocam and play out what-if scenarios.
Remember that 'Platinum' isn't really that accurate (@Quitch recommends that an actual plat players plays against 'Uber' with a 2x eco modifier to get a decent 1 v 1 game). As for the AI vs holkens, I think it's always been a bit weak against artillery. Quitch (or @Sorian ofc) could probably tell you exactly what influences the AI vs a holkens. What I'd say is if you've found a way to beat the AI with something that feels 'OP' set yourself a challenge and find a different way to win next game
