I was playing a game tonight, and I picked up bacon early on. Most would think this is great, but not if you're a Support. While the HHGun goes unaffected, when Support gets an accuracy enhancement, his shotgun reticule becomes smaller. Now, this is great for every other weapon in the game because they can all shoot at longer ranges with more accuracy. Support's shotgun is strictly a close range weapon. When his reticule gets smaller, it gets harder for him to use his shotgun. It does not increase the range to compensate, so it becomes permanently worse until you die and lose all your wonderful bacon endorsements.

To make an analogy, a small reticule is great when shooting things at a distance, like the tank's railgun. It makes a weapon very accurate. Now, try to use the railgun when your target is right in front of you and you are jumping around, trying not to get hit by their weapons, and return fire at the same time. Difficult isn't it?

I believe that Uber should leave the Shotgun's reticule alone. Accuracy should not affect it. And if it has to, then the range needs to get longer to compensate.

Bacon makes all other pros better, why should it make the Support worse?

Edit: As Mute mentioned, it also happens during overtime, since everyone gets bacon effects on overtime.

It also happens @ overtime because everyone becomes bacon-ized. It's always bothered me but I've just lived with it.. It definitely does make it harder to aim/hit stuff (which obviously isn't a "bonus"). Maybe the original reticle could stay for aiming purposes but when the spread/shot is reduced during bacon or OT an additional reticle can be added to reflect the change. -shrug-

It does have better range though, the spread of the shot isn't as wide so it damages players at a greater distance than it otherwise would (re: more shot hits the player). Thats my understanding anyways..

It doesn't really bother me too much because when you do hit them it does a lot more damage since the cone of fire is tightened. I think Silver is as high as I would make mine.

Ya, I have the same problem with the Sniper's SMG.
