Why isnt there a button on the main menu to take you to the forum page straight from the game. This would save ppl having to close and/or alt tabbing out of the game, loading up a browser and then going through all of the windows and pages to get here. You could even sign us into the forum as the same user who's signed into PA at the time. Other early access games have done this, and it makes it alot easier for people to give feedback (which in turn means more feedback is given, reducing certain biases in the feedback) I know i'd certainly use these forums more for feedback reporting if this feature existed.
I don't see a point. Maybe a feedback form in game. But I don't see the point for full on forum access.
Or even a way to at least post some kind of quick feedback. The point is, with the feedback system the way it is, there is a high probability of the feedback being distorted due to bias. Although a decent portion of the beta testers avidly use the forum, an even larger chunk do not...and many won't see any point to leaving any feedback due to the difficulty of registering said feedback. While the opinions of those who are following the forums closely are being heard, major problems experienced by a large portion of the playing community may go unheard, and as a result, bulk playing numbers could be lost.
The solution to that 'problem' is not simply providing a link to the forums, the knowledge that a game has a forum is pretty much a given and simply showing users the forum isn't enough to realistically get any significant portion to engage with it. The thing is that if an issue is being experienced by a large portion of players, it's statically unlikely that it will be completely missed due to the fact that out of everyone experiencing it hasn't spoken up about it. Especially considering that the guys at Uber do some testing themselves. Mike
