Absolutely no balance in either Sniper or Assault class

    Freeze traps and assault grenades both recharge FAR too quickly with even a bronze skill endorsement. Quickscoping ruins the point of a scope and should not register a headshot. Assault's Flight time even un-upgraded is way too excessive.

    The mobility of Assault and the perpetual freeze motion of the Sniper (who has no business being as fast as he is by default and outputting the damage he does) lead to a ridiculously un-fun, unbalanced game, with snipers who face no real consequence of face-to-face combat, as they have a hugely damaging SMG anti-personnel weapon and the ability to vomit out freeze grenades every 5 seconds or so for an easy insta-headshot, and Assaults who have way too much mobility and general dominance of the playing field.

    Balance your game, goddamn it. Give these classes SOME penalties.

    i main a gunner and have no real problem with assaults and the sniper is easy to annoy if hes good he obviously will bother me but i can annoy him back.

    there are already to many threads complaining about the sniper, they fixed the main issue so get over it, the assaults bomb may recharge a bit to quick and they might tweak that but the fly is perfectly fine if you ask me, they lose accuracy while doing it so that's punishment.

    Yeah, because the main issue was bodyshot damage and not the ridiculous headshot damage, which combined with the speed and utility of the character to completely unbalance it. Yep, everything got better because of a fix nobody asked for.

    Why am I even talking to somebody with a Naruto avatar?

    By the way, there's a reason that Team Fortress 2 did away with grenades for every character: Because they make the game static and unfun, and disrupt flow. Now this TF2 wannabe (admit it) comes along and repeats all the same balancing mistakes that games had before TF2, while giving their characters a thin veneer of personality compared to Valve's yeoman work on theirs. Yeah, real cutting-edge stuff, boring and pedantic "social commentary" in your voice overs and game "world"; Adam Curtis you are not.

    You just lost all credibility that you might've had here.

    We can take the sniper in tf2 or heck, pretty much any class (soldier is a versatile ******* just like the assault) and call them OP if someone can land every single shot. The sniper has many tools in mnc that the tf2 sniper doesen't have, but all the other classes have their own abilities to compensate. A class like the sniper is only really OP in maps like steel peel or spunky cola where he can watch over pretty much everything. And even then it's not like you can land a headshot every time.

    this person with a Naruto avatar obviously has had more time with this game and knows more about this game then you, headshots SHOULD be a 1 hit kill why? your shot in the head and it rewards better players, the body shot nerf was asked for by many as it helped stop the bad snipers that would only go for body shots and rarely get the headshots.

    if your going to troll the game as a whole why join the forum which is obviously filled with people who ENJOY the game, take that crap else where

    if you dislike the sniper go play on a server that doesnt allow the class to be used (and yes, there are a few, i sometimes play on 1)

    As for the assault, i seriously dont see your problem with the bomb.
    It doesnt do that much damage (unless it sticks to you ofc), you can see them if your not retarded or blind and an assault is easy enough to kill with any class to be honest.

    I sometimes play as assault, if i play vs a bad team ill get a k/d of about 2-3/1, if i play vs a team with atleast some good players ill be lucky if i even break even.

    The assault rifle is pretty much ****, it does decent damage up close but at that range any other class that doesnt have his head up his *** can kill you faster, the grenade launcher is fine but its range is still not as good as the gunners mortar or as accurate/fast as the tanks gun.

    To be honest i think the problem is you and not the classes, snipers die like **** and the traps have a small radius, assaults have a crappy primary weapon and dont even have that much hp to begin with.

    Just like i had problems with the assassin at first, now i hardly ever die to them anymore (unless they abuse the grapple/charge bug ofc) unless they are really skilled at playing their class.
    Hell, most of the time i end up dying to a well played tank or support, why? because my skills will be on recharge and on the range for my weapons to be effective they will own my ***.

    How about you first start playing the classes you dislike and learn how they work before you start whining about how OP they are?
    And if they really are that OP, whats stopping you from using them?

    I find it strange that you call the SMG hugely damaging, when at the range it is even possible to hurt anything any other class would have a damage and armor advantage, excluding assassin who could lunge + grapple in that range anyway.

    The Assault however is a small bit overpowered, I personally think he does too much damage to the moneyball.

    That doesn't mean he should be able to move from spawn to spawn and destroy the ball in ten seconds. :(

    Ouch, I wouldn't even call a team such if they let a random Assault ravage the Moneyball in that short of a time. :lol:

    Even if they do above average damage to the moneyball, I think it's balanced by overall lack of killing efficiency.

    Buy/Obtain Juice, bomb jump across the map, use juice and shoot ball with grenade launcher. Anyone can do it.

    As for Assaults lacking killing power... I don't know what Assaults you've been playing. Their maneuverability and array of fast-charging skills make good Assaults impossible to kill.

    Maneuverability does not = killing power. The only exception would be the bombs, but how often do you land a headcrab on a competent player?

    Do you realize you would be best friends with some of the developers if you knew them in real life?
    Why dont you lighten up?
    It is a small group of well intended people who had fun making their game.
    If you dont like it, why not raise your issues in a respectful manner and have people take you seriously?

    An assault is not capable of 100% damage to a money ball in 10 seconds.

    In OT it would take at least 20 seconds juicing the whole time.

    In normal mode, depending on endorsements, you'll get about 35-40% of a money ball in a undisrupted juice. Which is about in line with other classes.

    people don't realize this as there aren't very many good supports on pc, but there are a lot of assaults so everyone can complain about that damage on the money ball.

    The Support can be grappled because he actually needs to be in the spawn ring. Assaults do not. Not saying damage needs to be reduced for either because I have yet to see anyone actually do this when I have a good team but I'm sure it's possible.
