Well this is mainly with focus on the sniper class as I feel the zoom is far too extreme compared to the size of these maps... So I was just thinking up an idea. How about zoom distance was based on your accuracy endorsement? If it's in the gold sponsor it's extreme, if it's the silver it's medium etc... And if not at all, the sniper rifle will hardly zoom. Just a thought.
Take it to the appellate court. Anyhow, the level of zoom on the sniper scope is huge considering the size of most of the maps. However, this helps to inhibit quick scoping, since there's very little margin for error, you're either on target or get to spend a little bit of time searching for a head hitbox
The current large zoom stops the sniper being dominant in medium range unless the player is good or lucky sometimes, with any kind of adjustable scope you will just get OP snipers. They are made to be the ranged class so keep the zoom as it is.
I'm not. Which is partly why I am suggesting this because Accuracy on snipers is currently an utter failure not to forget useless. Though I see your point, wouldn't want a deadly sniper at long range become a deadly sniper at short range... EDIT: + Snipers has accuracy as a default skill... Which is useless to them and really has no purpose other than give better accuracy to the SMG which you hardly use anyway.
I agree, the zoom on the sniper rifle is ridiculous compared to the map size. It feels like CQC sniping at 200 feet, its crazy. So I have just started practicing quick scoping. I figured thats the only way to become effective as a sniper.
steel peel, the map that every sniper likes to sit in there base with their scope up the whole game, the zoom isn't to big if it was adjustable just imagine how much more OP the sniper would be....
