A TIE?!

I was just a part of what may have been the FIRST Monday Night Combat TIE in history~!

Both of the Moneyballs were about at half health and there were as Tank and some Snipers in our base taking out ours.

Just then, JaneWayne and I both juiced up (as Assassins) and started whaling on the enemy ball like no tomorrow (I used Shurikens, she used her Sword) and then...IT happened!

A TIE!

As reported by everyoen in our party, the Win screen showed the "You Win!" message, followed shortly by "You Lose!"

We all gained the extra thousand dollars for winning, so, it can only be assumed that this was a tie.

It has happened twice for me actually.

First was back in August when no one really knew how to play the game, including myself. The game went into overtime and no damage ever happened to the moneyball.

Second was a game were both our team and theirs defense felt impenetrable. I believe this also happened early to launch of the game, because now I know I could have at least gotten the ball down a good bit in OT.

But this tie didn't involve running down the clock. It was an honest to goodness hacking at the moneyball Tie.

That is a very rare occurance indeed.

Yea I understand what you were staying, it is indeed rare. I was just saying I've had ties happen to me.

It's not a tie if neither money ball is damaged cause then it is decided by who has the most money.

I wonder, then, if that truly does make this the first True Tie.

True, forgot about that. This was before the "You Win" and "You Lose" text after the game, so I guess everyone in the lobby assumed it was a tie. Plus this was back then we didn't know about the "whoever has the most money wins."

Same here! Tonight was just full of fun--including the Bullseye's Shadow of Doom ending, hahaha~!

That's pretty crazy to think about. I mean there have been times where one team wins by just a slither but both going at the same time....Mind = Blown.

Well, it really all depends on how you DEFINE a tie. (A select few will get that one.)

But in all seriousness, that's amazing. I never thought I'd witness/hear of one. I can't even fathom the odds.

I know, right? We were flabbergasted.

The whole of the party's conversation consisted of comments like "Oh my GOD!" "Did we win?!" "It says we lost!" "But we got the Winning 1000!" "It also said we won, too, first." "This is so weird!" et cetera.

It stunned us.

I'd really like a Dev's view on the matter, because I don't think they'd anticipated something like this occurring.

I've had this happen once before. It showed Bullseye over our money ball being destroyed, yet the post game report showed us as having won. I'm still not sure who won or if this was a "True" tie or if the game can even show a tie acurately. This was from both teams hacking the ball down though, not timeout, bizarre in any case
