Note: This only works against kill-whoring trappers, if your trappers are trying to win the game, then you're screwed.

Addendum: This is as of yet, untested. It is still a theory.

Oh no! I'm being spawn-trapped and I'm playing solo! Wait, I have a plan!

    Step 1: Choose Assassin.
Step 2: Wait for one of your inept pub teammates to set off an ice trap and leave a large enough gap to escape.
Step 3: Cloak and escape your spawn.
Step 4: Go to town on one lane of unprotected bots and turrets.
Step 5: When the ball drops, one of two things will happen
5a: The stomping team will be shocked at their ball dropping and retreat. In this case, continue the game as normal.
5b: The stomping team could give less of a flying **** about their ball dropping, and continue to spawn-trap. In this case, attack the Moneyball. You will outdamage them and win!

    At least, in theory.

Um. They will just continue to kill your team and the ball. Nothing will change.

Point is, if they don't hit the ball and just go for kills, you win.

2b. You can lunge through ice traps. That should set them off giving your team an opportunity to get out if you are dealing with a spawn-camping sniper.
If you're going up against a whole team of spawn-campers, they're probably communicating and you've already lost.

    -and-

5c. The spawn trapping team will see that their ball is down, start hitting the ball and out-damage you.
Just thought I'd throw that out there. At least it'll end the game faster. ;)

Game over comes quicker, so it's still a win-win :)

Seen it done a few times. Organous pretty much invented this IMO.

Trick is, turn assassin and attack behind enemy lines to push bots back BEFORE you are ENTIRELY spawntrapped. This prevents the ball from going down, because once the turrets are down they just want to sit on your ring killing you. You sneak out and destroy their base too, that drops their ball when yours isn't even down yet.

It's more or less tested, by me anyway. This is an old tactic of mine, almost always works when trying to end the game faster. I win the game about half the time.

Instead of making these kinds of threads, dedicate time to getting better so you can prevent spawntraps.

All of the big name Assassin players have already done this before. What else are you going to do as an Assassin? Take the other team on 1v6? It will work sometimes, just as kill-whoring loses objective gametypes in every other game. I still remember doing something like this in Halo. The other team shooting you at the spawn? Steal their flag, and watch as they all turn and run.

 When you are getting spawn trapped by an entire team and your team is just being cannon fodder, no amount of skill is going to get you to break an entire enemy team's spawn trap single-handedly. Just a thought.

Just a heads up, this strategy wont work against good players. A good player will just make it a race, and since you have them spawn trapped it shouldnt be all too difficult.

I would like to stress the point that the goal, from my point of view, is to force game over.
