I had the idea of allowing players to insert custom color schemes and camouflages for there armies as a form of player personalization and placed in a specialized folder. I would personally like the idea since i would be making custom color schemes and camouflages almost all the time which is apart of my attempt for customization mods, which will be awesome. I am sure most people would like this feature and it is only short and quick work for the devs, I think.(if they are reading this post) or will a dedicated modder have to implement the feature mentioned?

So who thinks what about this topic? Developers and community.

    What do you think?

This isn't as simple as you might think.

Currently each unit has its own texture sheet with an additional mask sheet designating areas to run a hue adjustment for team colors.

Accomplishing custom camo would require building a system to replace these areas with a base repeating texture instead of just running a hue adjustment.

It's definitely not impossible (and would definitely be cool!), but it's something I'd rather leave up to modders. A basic team color picker is all I think is necessary, and I'm pretty sure this is already on Uber's list.

    Edit: Also, this.
