A question about crabs...

So head crabs, love em to death. (for those who are new. Its when you, as an assault, throw your bomb at someone and it connects with them.)

Question tho, if you persay head crab someone and don't detonate it, how long will it last. As long as you and the other player stays alive? or for a fixed duration?

cause i could see some interesting things if it stayed on as long as you or your opponent stayed alive. hehe, head crab a sniper and just leave it on so that the sniper has to deal with the beep beep beep sound for a while. Yes it would just be annoying but it may be enough to throw the snipers shots off. And id rather play a sniper that isnt hitting his targets that kill one for him to only come back and shoot at me again

just a random thought.

there could also be some other effects, such as the person hearing the sound to much that next time you land one close to him his reaction is slower cause he is accustom to hearing the sound.

The Assault's Bomb stays active as long as he's alive.

I think being head crabbed should actually put a head crab on you. It would explode blood and guts.

I just try to hug the Assault. I might take him out with me, so it's one less Pro that's pushing in my lane.

i was wondering about that to, crabbin someone and them running into thier spawn. was wondering if the lazers on the fronts of the door would deactive the bomb... makes sense if it would just haven't been able to test it.

It's great if you can Headcrab someone, then keep an eye on them from far away.

I once got Headcrabbed as a Tank, and started panicking.
After 10 seconds, since I hadn't blown up, I started to push the lanes as much as possible.

I pushed it all the way until I had juice, and just as I pop juice on the enemy base, I blow up.

It was both extremely fustrating and made my day.

and theres another answer to a thought i had. do head crabs still 1 shot someone thats juiced. Havent had the pleasure of finding that one out myself yet.

now the question at hand is, is there anything a head crab wont 1 shot?

On a more serious note, I think it's a juiced tank with full passive and gold armor, IIRC. And jackbots when they latch on. It does do alot of damage though.

I'll say this right now, I hate Gordan Freeman and Half Life. Head crabs however, are really freakin cool.

Not if he's beefed up enough as per hickwarrior's explanation, at least not on the xbox. I've experienced this. It takes most of his health though

Tank with fully upgraded Passive and Silver Armour will barely survive an Airstrike while Juiced, but will die to a Headcrab. Gold Armour-Passive 3 will survive. The only guaranteed insta-kill in the game is a Pancake.

yup, ran into a situation the other night where i crabbed a gunner but he was overhealed and juiced. Didnt OHK him but it did take him down low enough to finish off with the AR even being juiced.
