A little question ? Does the online community get divided by this game ?

Well there are not somany people in PA basic. Now we do have PA Titans.

Well like by CnC we did have a problem, that by each new CnC the Multiplier Community get more and more divided. By CnC it was rediclous , CnC3 out, in 6 Month Addon, and 60% of people are gone.
RA3 out and from left owners are 70% gone. And so on. Killed the online Community.

So most Active players move to Titans, and people who don't like Titans stay by Basic.


Well there are not so many online players in my Opinion.


So can the Titans players play vs the Basic version ?

Relic for example does make a lot of DLCs too, but we are still keeped in the same game.
Blizzard actually has no problem to let Wings of Liberty play vs Heart of the Swarm.


Like people who own Titans can join people who play Basic, without the extra Units.

Yes you can play in the normal PA games but you won't get any of the expansions units

People that own Titans will still be able to play classic PA. Even if you only buy titans and never had classic PA, you still get both.

Titans attracts lots of old people who stopped playing classic again.
It may also attract completely new people.
It's good for the player numbers.

So far, it's doubled the amount of people playing base PA according to steam charts. In the long run I would assume most people will move to TITANS as that seems to be the case with most expansions.

We tried to help alleviate it by making TITANS players able to go back to PA if they wish.

Could you allow players who play Titan to queue up same time for both original and titans when playing ranked?

Why would they want that?

Why not? DoW and their expansion did.

You could buy the expansions as stand alone games and play against the other factions JUST not be them (ie you could be nec and play against IG)

Made much more difficult without factions. We did that back on FA and it worked out well. With no faction, you're moving into pay to win territory as you'll have Titan units and they won't.

Actually it was a bit different. If you were to put the concept of "you only get the new stuff" from FA into Titans then players would ONLY have the new units. I think it'll be hard to make even t2 when you dont have factories or pgens

To calm people some down, people who can't buy Titans for now will have hard times if they want play 1v1 ranked.

I doubt many people who just got titans and want to play titans would search for non titan games

but that wouldn't stop ppl with titan playing against vanilla-PA if the units/maps were limited.

Thats whats being queried.

Say 3 ppl were queing.

1) ONLY has PA
2) Has PA & Titan but only wants to play Titan
3) Has PA & Titan & doesn't mind what he gets
4) only has Titan (possible ? )

#2 and #3 launch Titan & can opt what they want.
#2 could match with #3 or #4

#3 could match with #1,#2,#4

etc.

Sure if PA ends up dying online ...

You cant have "only" titans. Titans includes the base game.
The thing really is that people with titans very likely want to play titans, because titans is the better game to most people.
