Ok new to the game, (played TF2 since launch and not new to Shooters in general, just this game)

    1) Is there a way to pull up a map while alive? I see the map when i'm respawning, but I don't seem to be able to get one up while alive.. This would be a HUGE ASSET

    2) I figured out how to spawn bots, but how do I spawn the BIG BOT (the one that the announcer says "So and So is READY, who will use him" I can't figure that one out. Sorry about not knowing the name, i'm at work (looks over shoulder).

    3) Do the jetpacks that the tank/gunner have deal damage in a radius when you use them? I know they can hurt as assasin if you are deployed, but I want to know how that damage is dealt, and rather it is also dealth when they are not deployed.

    4) Can players damage the money ball? Or just bots, or do bots have to drop its shield than we can hurt it.. or.. um.. yeah need an explination there.

    5) is this game cross platform.. I mean do the xbox guys play with the pc guys?

Thats all for now .. and thanks in advance.

    1. Don't know about the map. I have the 360 version.

    2. The big bot is the Jackbot. You can't spawn him. The "so and so" is really just the annihilator. It's at the center of all the maps. It destorys the enemy bots, and hurts enemy pros.

    3. Not sure about the jet pack stuff.

    4. Only bots can bring down the MB. Pros can only hurt it once the bots bring it down.

    5. Nope. PC vs. PC.
    Hope this helps.

    1. No map function other than the one you described

    2. The Jackbot spawns during overtime and after Bullseye made his appearance.

    3. Jetpacks hurt people directly next to it when they are being used.

    4. Pros will keep the shield down with damage after the bots brought it down, the timer is 30 seconds.

    4. More detail.. Normally the moneyball is shielded, when it's hovering in the air. While shielded, players can't hurt it. If a few bots reach it, they will break the shields and the moneyball will fall to the ground. While it's on the ground, BOTH players and bots will be able to damage it.

Jetpacks can hurt Assassins when you are not deployed. They set them on fire, make them visible for a few seconds and turn them into the perfect target... :D
They have to be pretty close to you and behind/under you.

It would be, but it doesn't exist.

The bot you're talking about is the Jackbot XL. You don't spawn him. He spawns automatically and for both sides at the same time. Once each time after the Mascot (Either Bullseye or the Juice Bot) leaves the map, and continuously during overtime.

You can only spawn one kind of bot, depending on which class you're using.

Mickey Cantor's announcement is regarding The Annihilator, which can be triggered via an ejector-style button in the center of every map, under the eponymous Annihilator, with a 3-minute cooldown, and costs 250 to use. Once used, the Annihilator will destroy every enemy bot on the map (except the Jackbot XL, which it only severely damages, as far as I remember) and do a small amount of damage to enemy players.

    They're both unrelated events.

Also Mickey's announcement comes up a few seconds AFTER the Annihilator is actually ready, so if you really wanna get the drop on it, pay attention to the cooldown, or it might be used up when you get there.

The jetpacks will instantly set anyone caught in their streams on fire, deployed or not. I can't find the exact damage, if any, on the file.

Essentially, it's good to harass assassins coming up from behind while you're flying or deployed, but don't count on it to actually kill anyone that isn't either stupid or terribly damaged.

The ball's shield has 1000 health, but is impervious to player damage. It will take 3 bots within 30 seconds to bring it down. Once the shield is down the moneyball has 10000 HP, and anyone (bots and players alike) can damage it, though different weapons do different damage. Shoot away.

Nop. Cross platform generally doesn't happen, particularly in shooters. It has been tried before several times, but it always turns out the same result: due to the inherently better controls of the PC, even mediocre PC players would completely trash the very best of console players. This would quickly make the game very frustrating, if not humiliating, for console players, and not really improve the PC player's challenge in any way.

    Goodluck.

It only takes 2 enemy bots to bring down your shields and the span between them can be 1 second all the way to 15 minutes. The only time your Moneyball shields recover is when the ball has been dropped.

Was fairly certain it's 3, but I'll take another look to confirm.

As for the second, does make sense. Was under the impression that the shield would "respawn" after being damaged, but in retrospect it doesn't make much sense.

Fodder core damage is 250, multiplier for shield is 2.5 = 625

Shield has 1000 health, so 2 bots is correct.

Different newb, similarly noob questions but I (along with about 6-8 of my clan mates) am/are enjoying the game and want to learn some of the finer points. Checking up here is one step...

First question I have is: Some of the verbage used I still don't understand....in particular, what is a "pro"?

Next, Are there any sponsorships that you can choose that are broken and/or simply don't function on a particular class? I thought I heard someone say that using lvl3 crits on an assassin doesn't work.....no biggie since I seldom play that class but are there any others?

I got a 24 hr pass a few days ago and bought it about 4 hours into the pass. I like the feel of the game and the fact that it can be a serious game without being serious about itself....I find that refreshing in todays world of generic modern era themed shooters.....

The game's name for the characters. They're called "pros", as they're professionals.

I don't personally know of any that are broken. A few of them are not particularly useful though.

Gold crit endorsement does work with assassin, it's just that it doesn't give a particularly significant boost.

If you played TF2, you might be confused by a few things, as TF2 handles it's backstabs and headshots as criticals. In MNC, criticals refers only to the purple-colored attacks, and unlike TF2 it's not always a 3x damage+no damage fall off. They work differently for each class. Most classes only access them randomly. The Assassin is the only class that can force criticals to happen 100% of the time (cloak lvl3 will give you about a full clip of critical shuriken if shot from the cloak). Gunner can raise the odds of criticals very high, so it can also be useful.

At the end of the day though, you generally get better and more consistent performance by using a rate of fire endorsement.

Most people feel the same about the Juice endorsement. It's not that it doesn't work, it's that it's generally not that useful.

    Welcome.

"Pro" is just what the different characters are called. It's part of the future-sports theme

It's debatable whether the Gold Rate-of-fire endorsement is any better than gold or silver for the gunner's minigun or assault's rifle.

The juice endorsement doesn't increase your juice gain rate, just makes you start with the meter partially filled when you spawn

Crit endorsements give you some chance to crit, and increase your damage when you score crits (including while juiced). I'm not aware of them not working in any way.

The most generic, always-useful set of endorsements to use would be rate-of-fire, armor, and skill recharge. In any order you like.

Also something you may want to look into are the xbox strat guides. yes this is PC but several ideas are cross platform. One that stands out for your aformented question is Endorsement Data: All Classes posted by tlbww

Hey, I'm fairly new myself so take this as you will. I see all the necessary pieces here in these answers but nobody is stitching them together for you into the Big Picture, so I'll take a stab...

The most important question here is the one about who can damage the moneyball and when, since that's how you win.

It's been covered, but to recap you have to get your bots to the enemy ball first. If you can get them there they will jump on the shield of the RAISED ball (raised indicates you cannot damage it as a player, no matter what). After they do enough damage (very quick) then the ball will DROP. After that, you have to damage the ball. If you go 30 seconds with nobody on your team hitting the ball, the shield goes back up and you have to start all over again.

That is super-important to understand completely, as it dictates the strategy of the game.

How far along each team's bots are toward the enemy base is - I think - the main component of who has the momentum right now, although other factors certainly count.

Because you must get your bots to the enemy base, you need to know what will stop them. Here is a list:

    - Enemy bots. If bots meet bots, they stop walking and have a slow-motion fight that is usually resolved by a player (aka Pro) coming along and killing the other team's bots to move his along.

    - Enemy turrets. If your bots get past their bots, they may run into any enemy turrets. I am not 100% confident that I understand the mechanics of this fully, but in almost all cases your bots seem to stop and fight the turret. They shoot at the turret, but the turret kills them a lot faster, if it is the good kind. Seek advice from others on some of the details here, as bots have not behaved as I expected with regard to turrets several times.

    - Your bots getting killed. This can happen a variety of ways but obviously if they die they will not get there.

The second most important thing asked about was spawning Jackbot XL, because it shows the original poster doesn't know what the announcer means when he says "The annihilator is ready - who will take advantage?" The answer should be, "ME!!! I will take advantage because I have been waiting all along for this very moment and saving my pennies and I am standing nearby oh boy oh boy oh boy!"

The reason you should be so excited is that the annihilator is wonderful. It kills every enemy bot on the map, meaning that your team gets all of the momentum in one press of a button. It's HUGE. You need to MAKE it happen, and then you need to take advantage by pressing in with your bots as they swarm toward the enemy base, free of all resistance.

If the enemy gets the annihilator, you also have to react by killing their bots to even the field to zero bots on both sides. This is most effectively done by running over and hitting the various ejectors on the field one after another, and shooting bots at you go. The ejectors are like mini-annihilators that will kill bots in a local area, plus do other nice things I won't get into right now.

So see how it all fits together? Help your bots by using the annihilator, killing enemy bots and turrets, and trying to protect them from players. Then they help you by taking down the ball. Then you help yourself by hitting the ball as much as you can, and making certain that you never go 30 seconds with zero hits.

    Have fun!

Crits endorsements increase your chance of random crits as well (if I'm not mistaken) as the multiplier your crits use to enhance their damage.
