Regarding Blitz play, I wanted to ask about gold. Why is there a discrepancy between the amount earned in the match and the payout? If I spend less during the game, is my payout higher? Are there reasons to spend or not spend during a game?

I realize this is a "light" game, but the customization seems limited to the gold/silver/bronze endorsements you take and your character name. Is there more to it than that?

I've noticed that as I play, I unlock things for stuff like bacon found, or slims killed, etc. And then I can spend money on some of these. Am I just paying for a title to showoff, or is there some in-game advantage to spend it?

I'm not entirely sure why blitz gives you less payout then you actually earned, but I think it's to balance the payout - Easier levels could be played over and over again for large amounts of cash.
The amount of money you spend never has an effect on your payout. Feel free to use it all.

Custom classes are limited to Endorsements and class name, but the name is only for you - no one else can see them. Endorsements boost stats and allow for more gameplay options and questions - How would Gold Rate of Fire fare against Gold Armor, for example.

The things you unlock - ProTags - are just for show. They let you brag about achievements or milestones you've reached. They have no purpose regarding gameplay.
