First, I think it would be great if we had a symbol to show who's got a mic and who doesn't in the lobby. If everyone could see who has a mic, I think it would prompt more of those said people to use the other half of the mic, not just the speaker. As it is now, it's almost anonymous and unless you are in the summary screen in game, no one knows who's talking, IF anyone is. Which brings me to my second suggestion: Pop up the name of who's talking, perhaps down in the left corner of the screen, like most all MP games do. It would be so nice to know who's talking with just a quick glance over to see their name, y'know? K that's all
I'm not sure if you've noticed, but in game when someone talks there will be a speaker icon next to their name above their character. It took me a while to notice, so I just wanted to point that out. But yes, a pop up in some fixed location on the screen would really make it much easier to see who's talking.
I've never noticed that taterz thanks! I'll keep an eye out for it, but that relies on being within sight of them and we all know it can be hard to keep track of the little things like that in the heat of the battle. I still think a static notification on the screen would be the best idea
for more reference, if your sniper talks, his sniper image next to his name changes to a speaker, so you know where to look.
This would be great! Then I could know which jerks needed to be muted when they whine like the sniper the whole game.
