A call for brainstorming - A PA lobby-mod

    Hey there guys and gals.

    I think we have arrived at a state where it is slowly becoming apparent into which direction uber is heading with the lobby system (i.e. it might be code-stable enough to mod) - so I am about to sit down and take a good look at things one can do to make matchmaking a bit more ... usable.

    I am not talking about matching by skill-levels etc. since that's allready covered by pastats but more at things which make finding "any match at all" easier

    Here is my list so far:
    • implementation of a better match-finding filters "search for systems with X scale Y planets and no more/more than Z other planets".
    • a better alert system for when somebody joins a lobby or the lobby fills up (audible alerts so you can keep PA minimized while you wait for your filters to hit sth).
    • taking a look at broadcasting options for certain "kinds" of matches, i.e. "looking for 10p free for alls on small planets" or "looking for games my computer can handle", "looking for almost full epic planet-smashes".
    • Starting lobbies directly from the system editor and general system editor <-> matchmaking interactions.
    • Any ways to make it easier to figure out "what kind of matches" are availiable at the moment
    If you got ideas on what else to add or to consider let me know- it would be a shame if i missed something that is easy to add since i don't really have the time to reitterate too much after an initial push (so this will probably go onto github afterwards).

    Things which do not require more than the searching party to have the mod installed or require third party connectivity are most likely to make it in, though if the idea is good enough i might consider it.
