    Warning, this is a rant.

So Titusville, FL is one of the best places to view space shuttle launches. It is also the worst place to try to get something to eat afterwards. All of the roads are jam packed even one hour after takeoff. Everybody comes here just to see this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZOy-X5b ... re=related Its not not even that cool. What would be cool about driving even one hour just to see this. But people travel from around the world to maybe be able to a shuttle launch. They could be cancelled at any moment for any reason. Even clouds can cancel a launch.

But I got the munchies, and I was looking for an excuse to leave the house for a little anyways. I made the first turn to leave my neighborhood, and traffic. So I turn around and travel into the heart of the beast passing by everybody else sitting in traffic. Miles of cars waiting to move up another 10 feet. I notice that nobody is in the "hood", I find my way almost to my destination when... traffic just 1/2 a mile away from where I am going. :x It took me 30 minutes to get to Taco Bell. Then another 10 minutes trying to re-enter traffic and drive another 300 feet.

All this traffic because of a shuttle launch.

Its time to uhhhh "get ready" to play some MNC

Hahahaha. I guess only I can relate because I live here with you.

Check it my Grandparents have lived in the Melbourne/Palm Bay area all my life, about 20 min. drive from him, and Shuttles have came and went. When I would visit I would get to see them launch and get to hear them "enter." When they re-enter there is like a big sonic boom so it kind of feels like a tree landed on your house.

So yeah since that whole area is being shut down and this being their last launch I wanted to go. Last minute we decided to not go and just watch it from here. I seen all the traffic on TV and was glad I wasn't there.
