I just received my student copy of 3ds max '14, does anyone know of any good tutorials or tips? Also I would like to start working on PA modeling
Modeling tip's for 3Ds Max http://webneel.com/best-3ds-max-video-tutorials There's some vids i watched to get ideas... some work through scenes to help learn the controls and to get used to the UI/workflow.... http://knowledge.autodesk.com/suppo...2/files/3dsmaxdesign-2014-tutorials-html.html UV mapping help/how to's http://www.digitaltutors.com/tutorial/635-UV-Mapping-Workflows-in-3ds-Max Other Tip's specifically for PA If you work with quads you should convert to tris before export to stop any issues with papatran.exe converting the model to papa... Models should be exported as .fbx (Filmbox) as this is the format uber are working with... If your making units try to keep the tris count under 500.. If your making a commander you can use lots of tris, the devs use between 7000-13000 on the current commanders i think.. I'll post up some more specific help later tonight after my kids go to bed and i have more free time...
