10 & 20 Non-grapple sword or dagger kills

If I understand this Protag right... you're supposed to earn this tag when you've killed 10 and 20 people in a match using nothing but the lvl1 dagger or lvl2 sword and nothing else. No grapples used. The other day I noticed these were the only 2 tags I don't have.. so I spent a night earning them and they never unlocked. Since I didn't try to get them before the Title Update (I assume its post Title update since I dont see any mentions of it), I dont know if its always been like this or its been broke since. When it didnt work I even played a few games using nothing but shurikens and melee's and still couldn't unlock it (just in case it meant no grapple, no dagger, no sword). Anyways... its def broke.. I just tried it a few hours ago in a priv match so I could check it with certainty and it still wouldn't unlock. So is it completely broke, or am I misunderstanding how to unlock it?

When you upgrade from your Dagger to your Sword the kill counter gets reset.

Yeah, I was cautious of that so upgraded to the Sword immediately upon spawn. I also tried the 10 kill one with just the Dagger and never upgrading. I've tried it all a hundred ways and the dumb things will not unlock..

Just tried this myself and can confirm that there seems to be an issue. Set up a private room and killed myself with my own guest account.

First I killed myself five times with dagger and upgraded to sword for five more kills. Got credit for the 5 non-grapple kills as expected. Then I tried again and did all ten kills with the dagger and did not earn the 10 non-grapple kill protag.

So yeah, seems like there's something going on there.

but any combonation of grapple/slashing/sword/dagger/melee isnt unlocking it.

they think, and have tested and confirmed themselves, that the tag isnt wanting to unlock even if you earn it.

I.E. get 90 kills in a game with a dagger, and upgrade to sword and get 110 more kills a game, and the game doesnt give you the 20 kill protag.

Exactly. I tried a few times more and it's just not happening..
